Welcome

Sea Dragons is a competitive Swim Club for female and male swimmers between the ages of 5 and 19. We are based out of Penfield and East Rochester High Schools and draw members from the greater Rochester area. We compete against other teams locally as part of the McDonald’s of Rochester Swim League (MCDR), and more broadly in the Niagara District of USA Swimming (LSC).

Our Philosophy

We believe that a swimmer’s growth and improvement, as a swimmer and an individual, are as important as winning in competition. Any swimmer, no matter how skilled, will improve performance if they commit to consistent practice, adopt the teachings of our coaches, believe in the team and most of all, believe in themselves as competitors. Our team emphasizes that everyone in SDSC is a competitor who contributes to our success. Our primary celebration of success is measured by the achievement of new personal "best times” for each swimmer.

Our Organization

Sea Dragons is a self-supporting, nonprofit corporation run by the parents of our swimmers. We've created our own by-laws and have an elected Board of Directors that meets monthly to direct club operations. (Board meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend.) Our Coaching Staff are compensated professionals, responsible for all swimming operations at practices and meets.
